Consignment
Consignment Service Guide
THE WHAT
‘Consignment’ is an arrangement in which goods are left to a third party to sell. The party that sells the goods on consignment receives a portion of the revenue, either as a flat rate fee or commission.
THE WHY
- You don’t want to deal with eBay and creating sales listings on other social media platforms
- You want a low-time-investment way of selling item
- You are seeking promotion and marketing of your item
THE HOW
What do you (consigner) need to do?
1. Read through this page in its entirety.
2. ‘Contact us’ (bottom of page) detailing as much information as reasonably practicable about the item(s).
3. Upon confirmation that the item(s) meets consignment eligibility criteria, package securely ship to the address provided that will be provided.
That’s it.
What will JustEncased (consignee) do?
1. provide confirmation that your item(s) has been received and is securely stored
2. prepare images (and video, as necessary) and record item(s) details within online database
3. leverage JustEncased resources to provide maximum exposure for your items
4. consult our client base ‘wishlist’ to identify compatible buyers
5. list your item on both our Website and eBay store per our standard promoted listings
6. complete transaction with buyer
6. package and ship item(s)
7. provide your payout subject to consignment fees detailed below.
CONSIGNMENT FEES
If JustEncased successfully sell your item(s) through their resources, you will receive payment that is equal to the final sale price, less the following:
– $5 flat administration fee
AND
– If sold via Private Sale: 6% commission on final sale price, OR
– If sold via Website: 8% commission on final sale price, OR
– If sold via eBay store: 18-20% commission on final sale price, pending advertised promotional rate as agreed between Consignor and JustEncased
JustEncased will request the Consignor identifies their desired payout amount. JustEncased will then advertise the product accordingly with the above consignment fees in mind.
Example: You have consigned a PSA 8 Base Set Unlimited Charizard and item was sold via Private sale for a final sale price of $600AUD. The following calculation applies:
-> Consignor receives payout = final sale price ($600) – flat administration fee ($5) – 6% commission on final sale price ($36) = $559.
WHAT DO WE ACCEPT (ELIBILITY CRITERIA)?
The following consignment eligibility criteria is non-exhaustive and should be used as a guide only. JustEncased reserves the right to refuse acceptance of item(s) for consignment without reason.
– PSA/CGC/BGS graded slabs of Gem Mint (i.e. PSA 10, CGC/BGS 9.5) or higher
Caveats:
– Mid- to High-end value graded slabs with an overall grade below Gem Mint may accepted on a case-by-case basis. Consideration will be afforded to factors such as conditional rarity, perceived liquidity, and requested sale price.
– Popular and iconic item(s) with established market values
– Australian-based companies may be considered if the above eligibility criteria are satisfied.
– Sealed product and/or raws will be accepted by exception only

The Consignment Agreement
1. This Consignment Agreement (the “Agreement”) states the terms and conditions that govern agreement between Consigner (Item Owner) and Consignee (JustEncased), who agree to be bound by this agreement
2. WHEREAS, the Consignor owns the right and title to the items hereto (the “Consigned Items”), and the Consignee desires to take possession of the Consigned Items with the intention of selling it to a third party.
3. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and promises made by the parties hereto, the Consigner and the Consignee (individually, each a “Party” and collectively, the “Parties”) covenant and agree as follows:
4. RIGHT TO SELL. The Consigner hereby grants to the Consignee the right to display and sell the Consigned Items according to the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
5. MINIMUM PRICE. The minimum price at which the Consignee may sell the Consigned Items shall be communicated by the Consignor and acknowledged by the Consignee. In the event a prospective sale would yield the Consignor a price less than the minimum price, the Consignor must receive written acceptance of proposed sale price. A final sale price, agreed by the Consignor, that is less than original minimum price, is still subject to the same consignment fees.
6. CONSIGNMENT FEE. The Consignee shall be entitled to % commission of the full purchase price of the Consigned Items (the “Consignment Fee”) that will vary depending on method of sale. Additionally, a $5 flat rate administration fee will be applied. Within FIVE business days from the sale of the Consigned Items, the Consignee shall deliver the Consignor the sale price of the Consigned Items less the Consignment Fee and flat rate administration fee.
7. INSURANCE. The Consignee represents and warrants that the Consignee shall maintain insurance coverage sufficient to compensate the Consignor for the fair market value of the Consigned Items in the event of damage due to fire, theft, or otherwise.
8. LOCATION OF ITEMS. The Consignee agrees and acknowledges that the Consigned Items shall only be kept and stored at JustEncased premises unless otherwise agreed by the Consignor in writing.
9. CONSIGNOR REPRESENTATION. The Consignor hereby represents and warrants that the Consignor holds full title (or has received, in writing, the authorisation to sell the Consigned Items by any necessary parties) to the Consigned Items.
10. AGREEMENT ACCEPTANCE. Each of the Parties accept the Consignment Agreement as written, without modification unless in writing and agreed upon by both Parties, upon Consignor shipping Items to Consignee.
